I think the last frost date - often late June - is the main
problem here with peaches. The trees will survive, but
won't fruit. Apricots too.
We have a lilac bush, for instance, and in the four years
that we have lived here, it has only had blossoms ONCE.
Frost killed the buds the other three years.
