Subject: [NAFEX] third apple for backyard orchard?

I know you've already thanked everyone for their suggestions, but I have one
more that I don't believe anyone else suggested. My suggestion is GoldRush.
It's disease resistant, and it is very tart at picking and mellows in storage
to a balance of sweet and tart flavors. And it has incredible storage
characteristics. The only 'flaw' is that it requires 165-175 days after full
bloom to mature. Though I know GoldRush is growable in SE PA (zone 6), I
don't know if the season is long enought in Mass zone 6.
Good luck!
