I usually bark graft pecans in the spring with
reasonable success but didn't get about ten stocks done this
spring.
In the past I've had reasonable success using
Davies's greenwood tip grafting on walnuts but not pecans. It has rained almost
every day for a week and I can irrigate them also so they are vigorous. The wood
at grafting height is 3 or 4 yr.Suggestions:graft w dormant,greenwood,or wait
till next
spring?If suggest greenwood, what
method?
Thanks
Keith
