One of our fruit club members sewed apple bags from a
light weight row cover with a twist tie collar. It’s keeping the
apples protected from insects and birds, allowing light to penetrate and water to pass
through. Seems to be working very well. Judi North Olympics zone 8 Date:

"North American Fruit Explorers" <nafex@lists.ibiblio.org> I
used Baggies to cover my apples. I
had them pretty much done by mid May. I have already observed significant
coddling moth damage on the uncovered apples. We have had 90 degree weather
already. The apples in the Baggies
seem to be progressing well. Naomi in |
