Yes, perfectly normal. Hose end sprayers mix the chemical as the water goes
through. So as water comes through the hose, it picks up a fractional amount
of whatever is in the spray bottle (I think it's called the Venturi effect),
and you get the right concentration of water vs chemical coming out the spray
end.
