I meant no disparagement of mycorrhizals. The ligitimate stuff I've heard
& read is very encouraging. Unfortunately, as a fairly new product, and a
science which is not widely understood, it is ripe for scams.

Mycorrhizal fungi isn't overrated by any means. I've used it on both
annuals and perennials with excellent results. Here's something I wrote
about it: http://www.bunchgrapes.com/mycorrhiza.html

A little more searching makes this fungi appear to help a huge variety
of plants in such things as competing against weeds, finding water,
nutrients, etc. I am now wondering if this fungi can help make plants
hardier by giving so much help. Also is this fungi overrated,
overhyped, etc.?
