Tom, many of the larger commercial nurseries gave relative bloom time charts.
Here are some other sources of information. -- Sam Brungardt, St. Paul,

Subject: [NAFEX] Apple Pollen - Crab?
Hello All,
If using a crab apple for pollen purposes, is it better to have a full tree,
or is a grafted branch sufficient?
Only a couple of trees involved that flower at different times, and a nearby
tree being removed.
Also, does anyone have a web link to an authorative page that documents
flower timing on the various crab
varieties?
Thanks,
Tom
