Thanks, but that's about a $50 investment, and I'm interested in the
pedigree of only 3 pear varieties! Next stop, I'll try to figure out how to

I've been trying to find (via yahoo-searches) info on the parentage or
pedigree or origin of some fruit cultivars. (That is, "what was crossed
with what to get this cultivar?")
Can't find anything consistent and useful. Would this be found in some of
the university or USDA breeding program websites ? Does anyone have these
addresses handy for posting? I've always had trouble getting these to
appear in 'net searches. Thanks for any suggestions.
