Any jam/sauce recipes out there for Aronia berries? The berries are used as
a cranberry juice substitute.
If I recall correctly, Hector Black mentioned that Susie had developed a
tasty recipe using Aronia, but that the recipe (jam or sauce) was not given.
Hector, could you pass such recipe on? My campus horticulturalist has
blessed us with a row each of Aronia and Amelanchier, and the Aronia are
just ripening first time this year.

My sole experience with chokeberry(Aronia) has been some planted as
ornamentals at a putt-putt golf course in Nicholasville, KY - big clusters
of handsome berries, and while they weren't disgusting, the flavor was
certainly nothing to write home about. Haven't seen them in their fall
regalia, but seems as if I've seen photos showing pretty impressive red
fall color.
