I have read that curry leaf plant doesn't like doesn't like temperatures
below 60-65° F (15-18° C). What temperature extremes does this plant
experience in the hills you mention?

I have received some seeds of:
1. Murraya koeningii - GANDHELU - Curry leaf plant. It is of the kind that
grows in the hills and therefore more cold hardy than the one which growsin
the tropical South India.
2. Berberis aristata - KASHMAL.
