Another possible way to reduce deer tick populations: One of the "prairie
people" here in WI, one of the more knowledgeable people, says prairie burns
(& woodland surface-fires) destroy existing deer ticks. They gradually come
back, with wildlife activity, but you get most of the year tick-free.

Dear Folks, I've heard that tick populations can be reduced on a property
by allowing guinea fowl to forage freely. Don't know if it's true. dylan
