I have them growing, but have yet to have fruit. From what I understand,
they are a cross between a sandcherry (Prunus besseyi) and a regular nanking
(Prunus tormentosa). What I've read is that they are a little bit bigger
and sweeter. We'll see next year if reality is the same as what the catalog
states. I also have a few white nankings as well, although I'm not sure if
it is a mutation or some other cross.
