Some might be interested in an article in
Smithsonian magazine November 2002 by Tim Hensley about heirloom apples.
Not a groundbreaking piece, but some interesting stories, such as the author's
resurrecting an apple called Reasor's Green, which his great-great-grandfather
had introduced in 1886 and was thought to be extinct.
