Well my Shojatsu persimmon tree I asked about earlier this
year (it was not budding out). The scion part is definitively
dead (brown & brittle). But there's brand new growth from
the rootstock. We're having very warm temps right now, but
our avg. killing frost date here is Oct 15th. I was
considering putting a cut off milk container over the growth
to attempt to extend the season to give it time to harden off.
Any thoughts/comments?
