I have a friend who has a Victorio Food Strainer and I just got back from
using it on tomatoes. I am converted! This will make juicing currants a
SNAP!
This type of food mill is the way to go. Pulp and juice flows nicely and
the pulp is drier than I can get it with a funnel strainer, and it goes
to a separate bowl.
My friend indicated that cooked fruit pulp comes out drier than raw fruit.
Raw fruit may need to have pulp run through a second time, but it was so
easy who cares.
I am not endorsing Victorio, just the style of strainer.
Has a good sized hopper for berries, etc and is easy to use and clean.
Found my solution to processing berries.
Thanks list, you made my life a lot easier.
Later,
Tom
