I have terrible problems with chipmunks and strawberries. They take a bite
out of the ripening berries and throw the rest of the berry on the sidewalk
or lawn. By accident I came across a solution. I sprayed the plants with a
heavy mixture of kelp and fish meal emulsion to boost production. The odor
drove the chipmunks away. No damaged berries. When the odor abated, they
came back. So I sprayed again with a very diluted mix that still had
plenty of aroma. It seems to work.
