I have been growing one of these (Xanthoceras sorbifolium)in Seattle for
about 7 years. It is less than 3 feet tall. The leaf buds are just
starting to open. It has never blossomed. I would be interested in hearing
more details of your tree (where and when purchased). I bought mine from
Raintree Nursery in Washington State.

Subject: [NAFEX] Yellowhorn, poison ivy
Does anyone have experience with yellowhorn (Xanthoceras sorbifolium)?
I have two small (3 ft) trees with lots of flowers. I've seen the nuts
described as anything from pea sized to a half inch in diameter and from
"rather sweet" to "something like macadamia nuts."
On a different topic, I don't think it's available any more but
aminotriazole is almost a specific herbicide for poison ivy.
