I didn't use Stabil or anything. I have 11 small engines and old Corvair and
two vehicles. I have never used Stabil untill a couple years I tried it. I
found it did not make any difference. I never drain the fuel It is not
necessary and can rust the insdes of engine parts by being humid.

I'm with Ed, but mostly from laziness. I have so many little engines, some
of which are used only occasionally, that I gave up draining them. Instead
I keep stabil in my gasoline all year round. The only one that gives me
trouble is an old Mantis, which I get going by taking off the air filter and
putting my thumb over the air intake (the choke is not sufficienct),
sometimes pour a little gas directly thru the intake.

I have several rototillers and mowers that I use a lot. In the fall I
fill the tanks with gasolene and stabil, then run them for a while to get
the new mix all the wat through the engine. I have been told that this is
preferred to draining the tank, because it prevents some seals from drying
out. I use the same process on the snow blower in the spring.
