There is some good information there. Keep in mind that this is related to
Ontario conditions. Annapolis and Cavendish were bred in Nova Scotia. My
experience with them was favorable. Years ago I tested Sparkle. It is a small
dark red berry that never achieves large size, even with the king fruit, but
it is one of the sweetest strawberries I have ever tasted. I always felt that
the name 'Sparkle' suited it perfectly.
One of my resources says that Surecrop is midseason. It is a USDA release
from Beltsville, Maryland.
It is hotter than heck here and quite humid. People have been running their
air conditioners all week.

Yesterday I posted two questions, one regarding strawberries and one
re: scionwood. Neither have appeared in the message on Yahoo.
To reiterate:
Scionwood:
I found some scionwood had been misplaces and left in garage
(currently hitting temps in 90s). Cambium still green. Is it
worthwhile attempting to graft?
Strawberries:
Thinking of ordering/planting strawberries. Since have clay/clay-
loam soils was only considering Red Stele resistant varieties [I have
and have had serious issues around collar rot on apples].
The (red stele resistant) varieties listed in catalog that Penn State
Ag Extension also lists are:
Earliglow (Early)
Annapolis (Early)
Northeaster (Early)
Cavendish (Early-Mid)
Sparkle (late)
I haven't been able to determine season or resistance of Surecrop
The catalog is listing a "special" of Earliglow, Surecrop, and
Sparkle.
Interesting factoid: From my reading all strawberries produce fruit
30 days after flowering. The seasonality is determined by when bloom
occurs.
