Derry and Hank,
I had a similar gadget gifted to me by my mentor old Henry Lang when he
worried that I would cut myself. It is a 2 x 3 piece of 1/4" hardwood that he
drilled different sizes to accommodate various sizes of rootstock for whip &
tongue. But since I do NOT do cleft grafts, do NOT cut myself and most
importantly do NOT remember to take the darn thing off until my graft is
wrapped!!!!! I do NOT use it. [It's the thought that counts Henry ;-)]
