I know you spent some time in Bolivia. Did you ever try chicha, which
is basically a corn wine? In the area around Cochabamba, the arrival of
"chicha morada", which is a purple colored corn wine made from purple
corn, is an eagerly awaited annual event. It is often served with a few
fresh strawberries floating around in the glass. It's really quite
good, and it packs a bit more of a punch than beer. More like wine.
Too bad they don't export it.
