Have you heard of PATHAR(=Stone)
NAKH(Pear) that has also been called a Sand Pear by some authors. It has a
very large spreading tree that bears apple shaped gritty fruits. It is a
very heavy bearer. The fruits remain hard at maturiy and are juicy.
They can be transported in gunny bags and are excellent keepers.
A preserve is made of the
fruits. This pear can also be used for juice making.
