I've had one in the ground for 6 growing seasons now, and it's never even
blossomed. It's three times the size of any other plum or peach growing in
my orchard, and I've not fertilized it in 3 years, in hopes of stressing it
into fruit production.
I suppose I'll leave it, as my wife thinks she wants peaches/plums, etc.,
but all in all, stonefruits are not worth the time & effort for me - to
many borers & curculios, etc. to fit in with my laissez-faire management
style.
