I visited South Africa a couple of years ago and while in Zululand
enjoying the beautiful women and interesting culture a dog kept
following me around, seemed to take to me for some reason. I learned
later that it was a Basenji. A friend of mine had obtained one for his
Daughter because of a movie in which one of these dogs was featured.
They don't bark I was told and came from Africa. I strongly recommend
them for this fact (they are barkless) wish all my neighbors had them.
No chipmunks here, didn't survive the Depression, I guess. I liked the
story Lucky. The friend said there is no shedding problem with his
Basenji and he hadn't bitten any one --yet. That one that followed me
around was probably choosing the bite site. Nice looking dog but seemed
autistic. Doc Lisenby
