Irv your prior post indicated ATV could be used on private
property with the owner’s permission. You also need locations where dogs
can work off leash. Find a farmer or rancher who at certain times of the year (least
likely to impact their agricultural business) will allow a joint training on
their larger acreage. Reality is most of the partnering with these two resources is
knowledge-based, regarding speed and timing, application of scent theory, etc.
If the resources aren’t aware of how they can partner effectively with others,
incident management is probably not aware. From: Irvin Lichtenstein
[mailto:ilichten1@verizon.net] The point
is not that ATV’s are restricted here in the EAST but that any resource
you cannot train with creates a difficulty in the field. […] From: Jorene Downs Irv, if there aren’t
more obvious locations locally where training or joint training is allowed,
perhaps you can use the successful model used by others around the country.
They are connecting with owners of larger acreage for training locations. |
