In southern New Jersey the following hazards are a concern:
Illegal dumping on and off trails - sharp metals and glass; construction waste.
Swampy areas - especially those covered with dry leaves
In some of the parks there areas where old buildings have hidden hazards such as outhouses and root cellars where the holes are covered

Other trail users (speeding bike riders, hostile loose dogs, hikers who hide
from horses)
