Karen,
What caused the allergies? who
knows. The vet ran allergy test on my horse due to such severe
reactions. (not just a cough)---- The list is pretty long.
Fescue is native for us, however I never feed fescue- brome as I wrote earlier
is what I have shipped in for my horses, and I don't use round bales
either. The horse had problems when I bought him, another vet had
diagnosed it as a respiratory infection--- and he would be well in a few
days-NOT-----so after repeated antibiotic treatments, allergy test were
run. This horse is allergic to wheat also. Brome is the only thing
he did not test allergic to. But, brome is not "native" to my area.
