FYI for any MSAR/SAR Trainers in Pennsylvania who include CERT training
into their team’s curriculum:
CERT T-T-T Training (4NOV07) - This Community Emergency Response Team
(CERT) Train-the-Trainer (T-t-T) course is presented by the Allegheny County
Department of Emergency Services (ACES) and
the AlleghenyCountyFireAcademy.
Please see below for course information and registration details:
PURPOSE: This
8-hour course (two four-hours sessions) will prepare students to instruct the
CERT provider program. It will address the various aspects of the
curriculum and some methods of presenting the material. The intent of
the program is to train the CERT instructor to take the program to their
municipalities and assist in the development of municipal CERT teams.
PREREQUISITES: None,
although public safety experience/instructional experience is preferred.
TARGET AUDIENCE: Anyone
interested in the development or instruction of CERT teams. Students
need not be part of ACES to take the class.

None.

ADMINISTRATIVE INFO: There is
no cost to attend the course, however, any necessary lodging,
transportation, meals, or phone calls are the responsibility of the
attendee or the organization they will be representing. Students MUST
attend both evening sessions.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
None.
REGISTRATION: All
attendees must be at least eighteen years of age. Contact Dave
