Try doing a web search for cross cut saws. The smallest cross cut is 3 Ft. and is designed for one or 2 man use. However this is a serious saw (read serious price) and will do a bang up job. You will probably have to make a scabbard for it. Otherwise the only ones I have found that actually work are the chain saw teeth kind available at sporting goods outlets. they only work up to about 18-20 inch diameter logs. If you are getting into larger trees then you need a minimum of 3 feet. If you think about it many hunting rifles that are carried on horseback are near that length. Good luck and Happy sawing!! Faye
