Susan,
I keep borium on my horse shoes all year around. Mainly because if you end
up riding on fresh asphalt its like riding on ice. I had a horse slip and
fall once. Neither of us got hurt, but I fixed that problem. I'm not aware
that the borium has made any significant difference any place else I've
ridden, but I've never had a problem with too much traction.
