Sorry, I should have posted the information
along with my post. The light is made by Rayovac and is their Sportsman Series
"3-in-1 head-lite." It uses 4 AAA batteries and has three light
selections, two LED (flood light) selections (one red and the other a
blue/white light) and a long range quartz spot light. I rarely if ever
use the spot light selection, however the LED beams will last a few nights
without changing batteries. Since the light is made for a head and not a
helmet, so you will need to secure the strap in a couple of places to keeping
from moving.
I somehow missed the earlier post with
reference to the red light on the helmet. What brand is that helmet light
that has the option of red or white light? Do you have a web site link you
can share?
I
agree, by design alone light sticks (glow sticks) were made to provide a
passive light source. A couple of weeks ago I posted response to the
light sticks. I had said that I use a multi-beam helmet light that has a
red LED flood light and also can be switched over to a bright (white) spot
light. I only use the spot light when a stronger light source is
needed.
