Una, I visited the SAR-L archives, as you suggested.
I didn't find the reference to alternatives to NASAR you mentioned, but I
did find a comment regarding NASAR made last August 1: "They intend to license
the courses to other agencies, schools, and organizations. Delivery and testing
will be distributed, increasing its availability and hopefully reducing its
cost."
If this information is correct, the 2 primary "complaints" about NASAR
(cost and local availability) are apparently in the process of being resolved.
