All drug screens ask for that because certain medications will give false
positives. If you don't list the drugs/OTCs, then they run the standard
test and you get a rejection slip from the company you apply to. If they
have the complete list (and they should have asked if you eat certain things
also, btw), then they run tests that specifically preclude the
prescription/OTC drugs.
