yup,
My 92 saturn still gets 34 to 36 mpg. At the time, I recall I passed
on cars getting mid to upper 40s because I do have to get up to highway
speed fairly quickly or get crushed. Now , apparently I need a hybrid to get
the same mpg ,it will cost an arm and a leg, and I am back to the accelerate
or die problem. ( I test drove a couple last month)

Ya know, I said before that we had cars that were getting great mileage
and
they already have the technology to put them on the road. NOW! So, I
looked
around for the mpg's for DH's old commute car. Even with all the junk
they
put on those cars in the 80s they still got better mileage than the
*supposed* fuel efficient vehicles they're putting on the road now!
