Subject: [Homestead] Corn Tillering
Date: Wed, 25 Mar 2009 01:29:34 -0400
I've been reading about various grains and came across this page on corn
suckers or tillers. I prefer the 'tiller' term because it reminds me
that corn *is* a grain, and it tillers just like rice or grass.
I did not realize that tillering is an indicator of good soil.

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public
debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered
and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed
lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of
living on public assistance."
