Perhaps we could start a homesteaders Red Hat Society? We could have purple
overalls instead of dresses?
I am beyond caring and quite tired of all the lalala over the United
Socialist States of the UN, so have been trying to be quiet <g> Quite a
task <bg>
We are in the middle of a mighty storm. The county to the southeast of us
is under flood warnings and folks are moving to higher ground. Both our
creeks are only a couple of inches from flood stage but that's about a
1,000' feet from the house and about 300' lower than the house. One of the
joys of having a terraced piece of property!
The weird and crummy weather hasn't stopped the chickens. We are knee deep
in eggs! Had breakfast Indian fry bread for dinner with scrambled eggs.
Ah, that would be Indian fry bread instead of biscuits with the sausage and
gravy for all you folks who have never been on the rez <g>
However, tomorrow is the big shopping day in the big city. We shall see
cause between here and there are 3 summits and the 4x4 is on the fritz.

. Seriously, maybe I am getting old and cantankerous, the classic
grandmother that speaks her mind regardless. ;)
