Yup. Of course, depending on the wind or lack thereof at the time and how
long the event goes on, it could have a devasting effect on far more than
the U.S. With prevailing winds, the cloud would move east and south and
depending on how well it hung together, it could make its way to Europe, So.
Europe or Africa.

You can forget that. If Yellowstone blew, there would be no more United
States. This would be a global event, affecting the entire Northern
Hemisphere. The Southern Hemisphere would suffer, too, indirectly.
