Those that feed the house, camper and our neighbor (3 different
springs) run whether there has been rain or not.
Roxann, your land is far enough away from mine that I am not sure of
your land forms. I have driven through your area and am familiar with
surface features but really don't know if you are on karst.
Sandstone is certainly a different aquifer condition than limestone.
Would lessen plumbing issues. We have neighbors whose high garden pH
is a real problem from decades of irrigation from their deep well.
Having a spring at the top of a mountain would suggest artesian
pressure.
I forgot to respond to your horse watering issue. Horses have a narrow
diet. Our human diets are rich in minerals from our extensively varied
food sources.
