Oh, I know. However, it would have been a slam shut case had Chambliss lost.
At least the possibility exists here. There are, after all, a few
conservative Dems (at least relatively). Whether they will have the guts to
go against Plosi, Ried, BO, et al remains to be seen.

Unfortunately (depending on one's opinion), he really does, de facto, Ray.
The
two Senators from ME will vote with the dems in votes for cloture in the most
consequential actions, as will Spector (PA), and McCain (AZ) on many, and, as
will many Senators up for re-election in 2010 who will have more inclination
to
vote with the powerful and popular majority than with the minority.
The Dems have true full power, already. BO's transition teams are moving
in
to set agendae & control federal agencies faster than any new persidency I've
ever seen. He was talking this am about how the "present" TARP monies must
be
spent. When power is evident , it should be
acknowledged.....................................
