I have to say that I have been laughing reading these. Since leaving ND, I
have not worn what most would call a coat at all. I have a lined flannel
shirt. That is my winter wear. If it's cold (below freezing), I will wear
gloves or mittens... I've discovered that my fingers get cold quicker as I
get older. If it gets colder, say below 10 degrees, I will put on a hat.
I do have a good pair of boots, but they are usually too warm to wear, so I
save those for when it's really cold (haven't worn em since I left).
People around here are just wusses.?;-)

I was just at the market here in Tallahassee and saw several women in full
length wool coats. It's 51.
