By the bye, with cracked wheat (bulgur) or steel cut oats, or whole wheat or
hulled oats for that matter, it isn't necessary to cook them at all. If you
put them in a pot with the proper amount of water early in the evening, by
morning they have swelled and are ready to eat as is.
