Autumn began almost a month ago, but here in NW Georgia, the leaves are
just starting to show color. The dogwoods and sumacs are red, and
looking into the woods, I see the poplars becoming yellow and the maples
starting to turn as well. Peak color for us is sometime between now and
mid November, and this year I think it might be later as I see very
little color up on the ridges. I have seen a small leaf shower, but
nothing like the leaf rain/leaf storms that will come in the next couple
of months. I love leaf storms. It is breezy today, typical Fall
weather...very nice.
