I don't care much what the pastor says in any congregation. What
nobody has brought up here is that a pastor is PAID by the congregation
to which he or she preaches. They will frame things in a way their
congregation will accept, or they won't get paid. However, what the
pastor says will shed a lot of illunination on the thoughts and beliefs
of the members of the congregation.
This is true regardless of affiliation. A liberal minded group of
churchgoers will listening to a liberal minded pastor. Likewise with
a conservative group. It is THIS thought that makes Obama's choice to
listen to the vitriol spewing forth from his pastor of 20 years such a
telling indicator..
