I put the garlic out on an old piece of plywood to dry off and then
the plan is to brush dirt off and tie in bunches to hang. What's the
best way to get it through the rest of summer, then fall and winter?
Ideal garlic keeping conditions are temperature in low thirties, fifty
to seventy percent relative humidity and some air movement.
Few of us can achieve that. So get as close as you can--as cool as
possible but not freezing and enough air movement to avoid mold.
Curing well before storage also helps prevent mold.
Do not put in plastic bags. You want air movement through the bulbs. I
tie ten to twelve stalks together and hang them above my head.
