Bev, I helped you last year identify the Bear's Foot plant
(would love some seeds from it).
I am always happy to try to identify plants for anyone,
however I no longer have 10,000 volumes of national
botanical reference books at my fingertips. My specialty
is wildflowers and native plants of the southwest.
In another life I used to work for the Lady Bird Johnson
Wildflower Center (formerly the National Wildflower
Research Center and now a part of the Univeristy of Texas)
as a native plant information specialist--the botanist
building and maintaining their native plant databases and
identifiying flowers from national inquiries. That
database can be accessed at
http://www.wildflower.org/explore/
There is a fabulous online database called PLANTS
maintained by the USDA at http://plants.usda.gov/ that I
highly recommend for information.
