fashion. Nailing it to the hen house would make it immobile, but also
less easy to clean.
Maybe bungee cords. Rubber cloth covered things with hooks on each
end. Harbor Freight has them cheap. They'd be washable, too. A
round eye screwed into the support for the flat sided buckets would
be good to hook the ends to. Use eyes big enough to take two hooks.
A simple nail bent over would work, too.
It's not completely clear that their nests need to be very clean,
though. But I know from nothing about chickens.
I know that folks who tell how to make both blue bird houses and
purple martin apartment dwellings want us to provide for yearly
cleaning.
The house I grew up in still has wooden the chicken roosting boxes,
still in place unused since the 1940's.
