Most of what I read says average wages are going
down. Not sure how that gets stopped.
First step is a more equitable tax structure. If you look at the real
numbers wages overall have gone up but about 12% of wage earners have picked
almost all the increases. Middle income wage earners have seen paychecks
shrink from inflation. More recent figures show a significant decline as
the cost of food, fuel, and housing increased. Housing decreases should
make the numbers appear better but it will be a false decrease.
