It is 50 miles for me to drive over the mountains to Asheville. I guess I am
talking about going that far as "out of town". When you live in the sticks
that is not very far, but of course it is now with gas at $3.10 a gallon! It
is very enjoyable to "stay put", but I do like to visit friends too.
