It is a more common practice than not, and a pity, says I. I first ran into
the practice whem I lived in Georgia, but then again, there they put sugar in
everything, green beans, mashed potatoes, EVERYTHING.
It's conditioning, of course, but I also think it adulterates the taste of
the corn and not in a good way. </HTML>
