I noticed that statement too. It is like saying it has been proven that
hitting yourself in the head hammer is bad for you, but no one has done a
study that NOT hitting yourself in the head with a hammer is healthier for
you. Some things are just common sense.

THE SURPRISING FACT IS that this mass migration to organic food has
not been on the back of scientific evidence. In fact, you'd be hard
pressed to find comprehensive evidence that organic food is healthier
either for us or the planet.
On another list some time ago, a guy argued that
there nothing "proven" wrong with a little poison
(pesticide residue) left on food.
